Tata steel it is the second largest steel manufacturer in india after(SAIL).A company founded by jemsetji tata and established by dorabji tata on 26 August 1907 nearly a century ago at jemshedpur, Jharkhand  india.Tata steel currently run its operations in 26 countries with key operations in India 🇮🇳 Netherlands🇳🇱 and united Kingdom🇬🇧.it currently can produce an huge amount (34 million tonnes per annum)and provides employment to around 80,500 people.

History of Tata Steel:-

                                          Tata Steel formerly known as TISCO (Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited) Tisco changed its name to Tata Steel on 2005. During the period of First World war (1914-1918),the company made rapid progress. By 1939,it operated the largest Steel plant in the British Empire . The company began its expansion plans in 1951,in 1958 TISCO had capability to produce 2Million tonnes of steel per anum.At that time TISCO provides employment to around 60 Thousand people 40Thousand in jemshedpur plant and 20 thousand in nearby coal fields

Corus is in IX place position in terms of steel production in world wide while TataSteel is in 56th place After the deal TataSteel became V largest producer of steel in the world
